But one of the highlights of any North Channel cruise is the people you meet.  The folks in the marinas along the shores… the people in towns with names that echo the Europeans who settled here: Killarney, Spanish and Sault Ste Marie… or hearken back to ancient times: Kagawong and Manitowaning.

There are cruisers and sailboats and trawlers to charter… tours and cruises… celebrations and festivals, movies and live entertainment, shopping and museums… things to do and see… enough to fill the entire summer.

The fact is, that no matter how far you delve into the North Channel Wilderness, you’re always within easy reach of a town.  Supplies, fuel, repairs, are close by.  So are restaurants and luxurious beds and showers with all the hot water you want… for those days when you just have to get away from the galley, head and v-berth.

Come for a weekend.  You’ll want to stay a week.  Stay for a week and you’ll wish you were here all month.  It’s more than nature that makes The North Channel one of the best fresh water cruises on earth.
