Mercury Outboards Stolen in Simcoe

Marina operators and boaters should keep a lookout for five outboard motors stolen from Proctor Marine.  Partner Doug Heighington reports “Our fence was cut open last night (June 7) and outboard motors were stolen.  The OPP are being quite thorough in their investigation, taking fingerprints, photographs and so on.”  

Proctor Marine is at 487 Queensway Street West in Simcoe, southwest of Hamilton, Ontario, not far from the Lake Erie shore.  They’ve been in the business for more than 55 years and are obviously quite interested in catching the people who carried out this theft.  While it’s logical that the thieves would try to sell the motors far from Lake Erie, everyone should keep a weather eye for the following outboards:

1 - used 1995 Mariner 9.9ML four stroke #0H003544
