Great Lakes Water Levels Above Average

All the Great Lakes have well above average water levels.  Lake Michigan/Huron is up 20 cm in the last month.  The level is nearly 28 cm higher than a year ago and it’s now 38 cm higher than the April average.  While that’s a high level, it’s still well below the highest April level.

Lake Superior is unchanged in the last month and just 5 cm higher than one year ago.  Superior is above the April average level.

Lake Erie is up almost 23 cm in the last month and well above last year's level at 35 cm above the April average.

Lake Ontario is up 18 cm in the last month, up 55 cm in the last year and is now above the century average for April.

Lake St. Clair is up 25 cm in the last month, up 33 cm from last April and 46 cm higher than the April average.  All of the rivers that connect the Great Lakes have above average flow so the trend is expected continue into the summer.
